Ajith’s Vivegam is all set to release on August 10 and the fans can’t wait. This will be Ajith’s first release of 2017 and considering the budget of this film is a whopping Rs 120 crore, it’s going to be a blockbuster.
We all know it is directed by Siruthai Siva and stars Ajith along with Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan. Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is making his debut in Tamil in this flick as the anti-hero. Having been shot in exotic locations like Slovenia, Bulgaria and Serbia, it is produced by Sathya Jyothi films. Anirudh is the music director and the songs of the film, like Surviva and Thalai Viduthalai have been topping the charts for weeks now.
Thala has developed a stunning six-pack for the movie in which he’s said to be a spy. Thus, the action sequences of the film will be one of the definite highlights. In Vedhalam, Siva and Ajith took a very rustic approach but in this movie it’s all about style and new gadgets.
Hollywood stunt choreographer Kaloyan Vodenicharov – who is known as Kala – has worked on Vivegam. And it seems the action sequences are mind-blowing.
Editor Ruben who is working on the editing of Vivegam and he says, “Vivegam is an Ajith action film and it will be his best action film ever. The action sequences in this movie are at the standard of Hollywood films and Thala has tried out new action stunts. For instance, you saw in the teaser that there was a ‘nunchuk’ fight. In this movie, there are five different fights that will be talked about – there’s also a sword fight, a fist fight and a gun action sequence. And as we know Thala loves bikes. There’s a huge bike chase on the streets of Bulgaria as well. It’s going to be a sure treat for the audience!”
However, it wasn’t a cakewalk for Ajith as he hurt himself during the stunts. This didn’t deter him from taking risks like shooting at minus 11 degrees in the snow in Serbia. The risks he took have paid off as the visuals are said to be stunning.
While Akshaara Haasan has a stunt sequence in the movie, Kajal Aggarwal doesn’t. However, it looks like Vivek Oberoi has essayed his role as the anti-hero quite well.
“Vivegam is a family entertainer because it has stunts but there’s no violence and vulgarity. There is heroism, sentiment, romance and it’s all subtle,” explains Ruben.
