Chetan Bhagat's novel Half Girlfriend is on cards to be made as a Bollywood film by Mohit Suri who is busy in the main production works. The casting process is underway and the leading actor was confirmed as Arjun Kapoor. As for the leading lady, it was rumoured to be Shraddha Kapoor but now the team has changed plans to have another lady on board.
Rhea Chakraborty of Sonali Cable fame has been confirmed to play the lovelady for Arjun this time. Earlier the writer's other novel Two States was also made into a film by Abhishek Verman which starred Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles which hit a blockbuster status. This coming-of-the-age love story is also anticipated to rule the box office.
The movie's story revolves around the love tale between a Bihari boy and a modern girl and how the protagonist learns English in order to impress his girl. But as a turn of events, the high class girl decided only to be his 'half-girlfriend'. The first schedule has already been shot with the actor at New Delhi and Rhea will be joining the team for the second schedule.
